Travelling in and around Belsize Park

The area is in Transport for London’s Zone 2, and Belsize Park tube station (Northern Line) is 15 mins from the West End by tube, or 25 mins to the City. Swiss Cottage station on the Jubilee Line is nearby and travel times are comparable.

Belsize Park is also surrounded by the London Overground stations Hampstead Heath, Gospel Oak, South Hampstead and Finchley Rd & Frognal, which offer regular services to Central London. The Thameslink service linking Bedford to Brighton via Central London is accessible from nearby West Hampstead. This fast, frequent service can get you to Luton Airport in around 40 minutes, Gatwick Airport in about an hour and down to the sea at Brighton in as little as an hour and a half.

Bicycle

Numerous cycle routes link the area to the centre of London; Charing Cross can be reached in a little over 20 minutes, and St Pauls in around 30. Transport for London will post you free maps of cycle routes, available through the London Cycle Campaign website. Camden Cycling Campaign has some 600 members, making it one if the largest and most active Borough Groups of the LCC.

Belsize Park is served by five main bus routes:
24 to Pimlico
46 Warwick Avenue to Farringdon Street
168 to Old Kent Road
268 to Finchley Road
C11 Archway to Brent Cross via Hampstead Heath and Cricklewood
