Hendon

Hendon can boast the fact that it has the UK’s first indoor shopping centre in Brent Cross, which opened in 1976. Despite its monolith concrete appearance, the Brent Cross Shopping Centre offers a wide variety of shops to satisfy everyone’s shopping needs, from branded clothing stores, entertainment, cosmetics, jewellers, and restaurants.

The three other areas that are worth paying a visit to would be Brent Street, Vivian Avenue and Watford Way; these locations offer a variety of different shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, pubs, and numerous other interesting places to ensure that all needs are catered for.

Open Spaces

There are an abundance of green areas in the Hendon area for everyone to explore and enjoy, these being Sunnyhill Park, Hendon Park, Malcolm Park, the 18 hole Hendon Golf Course and the Welsh Harp Reservoir (in NW9). Many annual events are on offer at the RAF Museum which will fascinate people of all ages.
