Train

West Hampstead is in Transport for London’s Zone 2, and West Hampstead station (Jubilee Line) is 20 mins from the West End by tube, or 25 mins to the City.

West Hampstead is also on the Thameslink service linking Bedford to Brighton via Central London. This fast, frequent service can get you to Luton Airport in around 40 minutes, Gatwick Airport in about an hour and down to the sea at Brighton in as little as an hour and a half.

The London Overground provides easy access to Hampstead Heath and Camden Town as well as further a field to Richmond.

Bus

West Hampstead is served by three main bus routes:
139 to Waterloo via Baker Street and the West End (24 hour service)
328 Golders Green to Chelsea via Kilburn, Notting Hill Gate, Kensington High Street and Earl’s Court
C11 Archway to Brent Cross via Hampstead Heath and Cricklewood

Bicycle

Numerous cycle routes link the area to the centre of London; Charing Cross can be reached in 30 minutes, and St Pauls in around 35. Transport for London will post you free maps of cycle routes, available through the London Cycle Campaign website. Camden Cycling Campaign has some 600 members, making it one if the largest and most active Borough Groups of the LCC.
